Indoor PlantsPlante-Toi Chez Soi

Attentive, expert care for your indoor plants — from hydration and grooming to pest management and repotting — so your living spaces stay lush, healthy, and beautifully green.

Watering

Water is the foundation of plant life — the medium through which photosynthesis occurs, nutrients travel, structure is maintained, and temperature is regulated. Without consistent and appropriate hydration, growth slows, tissues deteriorate, and plants eventually decline. We tailor watering schedules to each species, pot size, and seasonal condition, ensuring every plant receives precisely what it needs — never too much, never too little.

Leaf Cleaning

Dust and residue accumulate on leaf surfaces over time, impeding photosynthesis, clogging stomata, and reducing a plant's ability to exchange gases efficiently. Regular leaf cleaning restores these vital functions, deters pest activity, and keeps your plants looking their finest as living features of your interior space. We clean each leaf with care, using appropriate techniques suited to the foliage type.

Pest Observation, Identification & Treatment

Unchecked pest populations can devastate foliage, stunt growth, and ultimately kill a plant. Many common insects — aphids, spider mites, fungus gnats, and mealybugs among them — reproduce rapidly, meaning a small colony can become a serious infestation within days. During every visit, we conduct a thorough inspection of each plant, identifying any signs of pest activity early, when intervention is most effective.

Treatment is always targeted and proportionate: manual removal, organic controls, or species-specific solutions are prioritized over broad-spectrum pesticides. This approach protects beneficial organisms, preserves long-term plant health, and aligns with sustainable horticultural practices.

Pruning & Removal of Dead Growth

A plant's energy resources are finite. Left unmanaged, excessive or declining foliage draws from the reserves needed for healthy new growth. We prune vegetative growth strategically to direct the plant's vitality where it matters most, while simultaneously improving air circulation and light penetration — both of which reduce the likelihood of disease and pest establishment.

Dead and dying leaves are removed promptly at each visit. Beyond the aesthetic benefit, this prevents decaying matter from becoming a vector for fungal disease or pest activity, and ensures the plant's resources are channelled entirely into thriving, healthy tissue.

Repotting & Root Pruning

As plants mature, their root systems can outgrow their containers, leading to root-bound conditions where tightly circling roots restrict the uptake of water, nutrients, and oxygen. Depleted potting medium compounds the problem, leaving the plant without the structural and nutritional support it requires. We assess each plant's root health regularly and perform repotting or root pruning as needed — selecting appropriately sized containers, refreshing the growing medium, and giving roots the space to expand and thrive.
